The MV Pont Aven breaking down and being out of service until at least the 15th of June isn't helping though. She normally does the Portsmouth/Plymouth/Cork/Santander/Roscoff route, she's also by far the biggest ship in the Brittany Ferry's ship.
With Pont Avon out of service the other Brittany Ferry ships, including the Plymouth to Roscoff dedicated Armorique, are being rescheduled to try to maintain the capacity to Santander, resulting in several Plymouth-Roscoff trips being cancelled over the last few weeks. So we're on daily checks to see if we're going to be affected.
So the plan.
We arrive in Roscoff (hopefully) at 08:00 Central European Time, it usually takes about an hour or so to clear customs and let the dogs out for a wee and a bite of breakfast because they'll have been locked in the van all night for the crossing.
So by about 9ish we should be on the road heading east then south. Saint-Brieuc, Rennes, Nantes, Niort, Saintes, Cognac and finally the campsite just over the river from Jarnac, .
With a stop or two we should be there about 5ish. A cold beer, then an hour or so to get fully set up and after a shower and another cold one or six a wander into town for some dinner and mooch around town will hopefully round of a long day of driving and setting up.

Why Jarnac? A few months ago there was a TV program travelling along the Charente River through Angoulême, Jarnac, Cognac and to Saintes and beyond. It looks like there is loads of 'stuff' to look at while we are there, and let's face it, just over the river is the Courvoisier distillary and another couple of hundred meters along the river the Thomas Hine distillery!
